Welcome to Biting-Edge, a blog shared by authors and vampire experts, Mario Acevedo and Jeanne Stein. We’ll cover urban fantasy, vampires, pop culture, and all things Joss Whedon. Unlike other fantasy blogs, we don’t insist on body cavity searches (unless you ask politely). Snarkiness is most welcome...though we won't promise not to bite back!

The Son of God, vampires, and George RR Martin
Mario here:

Happy Easter all.

We celebrate Our Savior doing more than breaking bread at the Last Supper.

For you George R.R. Martin fans--and if you're not, you should be--his epic saga, Game of Thrones, is in development for HBO.  Check out The Hollywood Reporter for photos of the cast.  For an idea of the series, think, "the Sopranos with swords."

My favorite character, Drogo, the  über macho khan of the prairie horsemen, will be played by Jason Momoa.  Major eye candy for you ladies.

Another bit of eye candy are the vlogs posted by Nicole Peeler to pimp her upcoming second book, Tracking the Tempest. (No shirtless pics though.)  Nicole always has great contests and her snark is as delicious as jalapeño poppers.

And via Biting-Edge ex-pat's Marta Acosta's blog, Vampire Wire, we have for you Suburban Vampire, the place for undead movies, events, news, and interviews.

Had a playdate with the iPad.  Amazing device and Page was major cool but for all its bells and whistles, the app doesn't make the writing ideas come any easier.  Amy and Miguel show off their toys at The MacSpa.

Stay tuned Thursday for Jeanne's report on her trip to Norwescon.  No word if she spent the night in jail.

Comments:
Oh look! It's JC Vampire Hunter lol. One of these days I'm going to actually get my hands on that DVD. As of now, I simply enjoy watching the trailer.

Also, I would be worried if anyone bu HBO was adapting Game of Thrones, but the fact that it is being adapted at all is a scary prospect since things like that rarely live up to the original. I really need to go back and read that series again ... you know in all the free time I don't have.

So far the reviews for Game of Thrones are good. I'm looking forward to it, after I catch up on Breaking Bad, Dexter, MadMen, etc. etc., And after I get a TV.

Well that is exciting to hear, and psh who needs a tv? That's what they created online download sites for right?

Ok that came out wrong. I'm not implying I download shows, simply that sites like tudou and megavideo are lifesavers for watching shows when you don't have a tv.
